About the role
Due to ongoing growth within our dealership, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Retail Sales Manager- Motorcycle Parts & Accessories to lead and develop our team in Launceston. This is a full-time position.
The candidate that we seek must have a passion for motorcycles, be a team player who has the ability to drive our Parts & Accessories team and our brands in to the future.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful applicant will efficiently & effectively be the interface with the Service and Bikes Sales departments to ensure all parts & accessories requirements are being met. The role requires prompt, dependable, high-quality parts & accessories sales and advice to team members and customers by using the most recent sales techniques.
To apply for this role, you must have the following:
- Cert 111 Automotive Sales (or demonstrated relevant industry experience).
- A solid understanding of the motorcycle/automotive industry (or relevant transferable skills).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective leadership ability.
- Sound understanding of administration processes.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Sound problem solving and mathematical skills.
- Excellent knowledge in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, excel, outlook with the ability to learn specific industry computer systems.)
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours to meet training requirements, events and rostering.
- A demonstrated team player with a “can do attitude”.

Motorcycle Mechanic
Richardson's Harley Davidson and the House of Motorcycles are looking for motivated and enthusiastic experienced Motorcycle Mechanic/Service Technician to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. With high attention to detail, must be able to diagnose, repair and complete jobs within a timely manner.
Motorcycle Mechanic is responsible for;
- detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
- dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
- may inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
- Maintaining open communication with the Service Advisor and Service Consultant in regards to delays, addiotnal work required and any other issues that may arise.
- Assitance with dealership events on occasion
Skills and Experience Required;
- At least 3 years of on the job training / relevant experience in a similar role
- Curran, valid 'R' Class motorcycle license
- Well presented, well organised and have a passion for all things mechanical
- Must be willing and able to work on a variety of motorcycles including Harley-Davidson, Yamaha, Royal Enfield and more.
- Consolidated use of computers, tools and equipment to service motorcycles
- Advanced communication skills to liaise with customers, manufacturers and internal departments
- Exceptional attention to detail and safety
- Reliable, honest and punctual
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude, be flexible and be able to think on your feet.
The position is fulltime and must be willing to work extra time when needed. Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Bar/Restaurant Staff to join our team. This role is responsible for the service of Food and Beverage operations and day to day restaurant activities. We are looking for team members who enjoy working in a team enviornment, and working with customers and people, a passion for great food, team-work, and delivering outstanding customer experience. We have part-time roles available.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of hospitality to ensure a memorable Iron Horse experience for all our guests.
Skills & Experience
- Must be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Nights, including day work in a rotational roster
- Must have a minimum 1 years’ Experience in the Industry
- Must have experience in customer service
- Provide excellent service to patrons and have a bubbly personality
- Must be alert well-groomed, and well-spoken
- Experience working with POS Database Systems
- Competent cash handling and stock taking
- Experience with taking reservations and oversee the function room reservations
- Current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- Flexibility with working hours is essential
- A desire to learn, develop and continuously improve as a staff member
- A vehicle and drivers’ licence or other modes of accessibility to the property.
- Barista Experience required.
