The 2026 Yamaha YZ250FX is a high-performance cross-country motocross-style bike built for off-trail and enduro racing. It’s powered by a 249 cc liquid-cooled two-stroke engine with Yamaha’s Power Valve System for broad usable power and strong mid-range punch. It uses a close-ratio 5-speed gearbox and rides on a lightweight aluminium frame with fully adjustable KYB suspension that’s tuned for rough terrain and long-distance off-road performance. With a slightly taller ride height and suspension travel compared to the pure motocross version, it balances aggressive handling with off-trail capability.
