The 2026 Yamaha YZ85 Small Wheel is a junior motocross race bike built for developing riders who want a serious competition-focused machine. Powered by an 85cc liquid-cooled two-stroke with Yamaha’s YPVS power valve system, it delivers strong mid-to-high rpm performance while keeping the lightweight, aggressive feel that makes 85cc motocross bikes so popular. The small wheel version uses a 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheel setup, making it better suited to smaller or younger riders transitioning from 65cc bikes. It features fully adjustable KYB suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, a lightweight aluminium swingarm, and race-focused ergonomics similar to Yamaha’s larger YZ motocross bikes. The chassis is known for being stable and confidence-inspiring while still feeling light and flickable in corners and jumps.
