The 2016 SWM RS 500 R is a lightweight Italian-built enduro bike based heavily on the older Husqvarna TE platform from before KTM took over Husqvarna. Powered by a 501cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, it’s designed for aggressive trail riding, open fire roads, desert riding, and dual-sport use while still remaining road legal. The bike is known for its strong engine, quality suspension, and very low weight compared to larger dual-sport bikes.
Surprisingly high-spec setup for the price point. Riders commonly praise the suspension performance and powerful engine, although some owners mention factory fueling quirks and vibration compared to Japanese dual-sports.
